Role: Seasonal Truffle Harvest & Winter Orchard Worker

Season: June – September

Location: Truffle orchard (winter outdoor work)

Role Overview:

Seasonal workers assist with truffle harvesting and winter orchard maintenance during the truffle season. This is hands-on, outdoor work carried out in cool and wet winter conditions and is essential to maintaining orchard productivity and quality.

Key Duties:

• Assisting with truffle harvesting, including digging, refilling soil, and handling truffles carefully

• Working alongside truffle dogs and handlers

• Winter pruning of trees under supervision

• General orchard tasks such as clearing debris, basic maintenance, and hygiene/biosecurity practices

• Following workplace health and safety and biosecurity procedures at all times

Work Environment & Requirements:

• Outdoor work in winter conditions (cold, wet, muddy)

• Physically demanding tasks including walking long distances, bending, kneeling, lifting, and working on uneven ground

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a small team

• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude

Experience:

• Previous farming, horticulture, pruning, or physical outdoor work experience is beneficial but not essential

• Training will be provided on-site​​​
